These settings control the color depth, compression, and delay between screen updates over the MRC connection when using the new DameWare Mirror Driver. This does not change the color depth on the remote machine, only for this MRC connection. Using a lower color depth could also dramatically lower the bandwidth usage of the MRC connection.

Color Depth Display Options:

Remote Default Display uses the same color depth as the remote display
Force 8-bit Display = 256 Colors
Force 16-bit Display = 32,000 Colors
Force 24-bit Display = 16 Million
Force 32-bit Display = 4 Billion Colors

Compression Level:

This setting lets you determine the amount of compression that is placed on each scan block before it is sent to the local machine.

Delay between Screen Updates:

Length of time in milliseconds that the Mini Remote Control program waits before it retrieves another block of data from the Mirror Driver installed on the remote machine.
