Importing machines into the Saved Host List

Индекс  Назад  Вперед

Within the Mini Remote Control program, we have provided the ability to import a list of machines (HostNames, IP-Addresses, or even FQDNs) directly into the MRC Saved Host List, either from an existing MRC.DBF database file, or directly from a specially formatted .TXT file.

The .TXT file should be in the following format, with each machine separated by a CR LF. In addition to the machine, you are also allowed to specify an optional Alias field as well. Therefore, you must structure your .TXT file in one of the following two formats (and it cannot be a combination of the two).

For the Mini Remote Control program's Saved Host List Import, the .TXT file must either be in the form of:

Host or IP-Address1

Host or IP-Address2

Host or IP-Address3

……

-OR-

Host/IP-Address1 Alias1

Host/IP-Address2 Alias2

Host/IP-Address3 Alias3

One your Import file has been created, open the Mini Remote Control program, then select (or create a new one) a folder where you want the entries to be added, then right-click on that folder and select Import / From Text Data File. Then browse to select your .TXT file that you previously created and select OK. All the Machines should now be added to your Saved Host List, within that specific folder.
