DWRCS (Mini Remote Client Agent Service) Properties

The Mini Remote Client Agent Service properties dialog (View / Remote Server Settings or select the DMRC-ViewEditServerSettings_shg button) allows you to customize the Client Agent Service settings for this current remote machine.

There are several ways to open this dialog box.

• Right Click on the Mini Remote Client Agent’s Systray Icon and select Settings.

• Connect to a remote machine and then select the View / Remote Server Settings menu option. However, when using this method to edit the settings of the Client Agent, you will not be able to edit any Registry Only settings (i.e. Shared Secret Key, Logging, etc.) .

• Click the Edit button on the Installation Options dialog (viewing settings on your local machine). The settings can then be copied to remote machine during the installation of the Client Agent Service on the remote machine by enabling the "Copy configuration file DWRCS.INI" setting. No settings are copied to the remote machine if the Client Agent Service is already installed & running on the remote machine.

Access Options allow you to determine who can access this machine using the Mini Remote Control program.

Additional Settings

Additional Settings allow you to customize how the Mini Remote Client Agent interacts with the console user; as well as how it interacts with the Mini Remote Control application user of the connecting machine. You will also be able to configure email notification & centralized logging options here.

Notify Dialog Options

The Notify Dialog Options allow you to configure how the DMRC client agent notifies the console user that someone has connected to their PC with the DMRC application.

User Options

The Users Options allow you to give the console user some control over the Mini Remote Client Agent’s settings.

Simple File Transfer (SFT)

Simple File Transfer settings allow you to enable / disable the Mini Remote Control’s file transfer functionality. as well as specify the directory location for uploaded files.

IP Filter Options

The IP Filter options allow you to grant or deny access to this remote machine via Remote Control Connections and/or Proxy Connections, based upon the IP-Address of the remote machine.

Proxy Options

The Proxy Options allow you to configure this machine to act as a Proxy for MRC connection.

 

You also have the ability to disable MRC access directly to this machine. In other words, this machine could only be used to forward connection requests to other machines.
