The default Host Properties dialog (View / Default Host Properties or select the
Any settings defined here in the Default Host Properties dialog will automatically be inherited by any new host entries you create. These settings are also used when you connect to any machine directly from the Browser (AD Browser, Microsoft Windows Network Browser, SAM Browser), which will create a (temporary) entry for this machine.
After you have finished making your changes within the default Host Properties dialog, you will be asked if you also want to apply these changes to any of your existing Saved Host Entries as well. (provided you have also enabled the "Prompt for updating existing host entries" setting on the General Options Tab within the Local Global Options dialog).
Remote Options Allows for customizing the way the remote machine will communicate with the Mini Remote Control application. See also Remote Options
Inactivity Options Allows for customizing inactivity timeouts to reduce unnecessary network traffic. See also Inactivity Options
Display Options Allows for customizing the color depth to be used for this MRC connection. Choosing a lower color depth will also reduce bandwidth usage for this MRC connection. See also Display Options
Encryption Options Allow you to enable or disable encrypted communications with the remote machine. See also Encryption Options
Install Options Allow you to customize the way the DMRC application handles the installation, start, stop and removal of the Mini Remote client agent service (Windows NT / 2000 / XP / 2003 only). See also Install Options
RDP Options Allows you to customize the RDP settings to be used when connecting to this remote machine. See also RDP Options
Mirror Driver Options Allows you to customize the DameWare Mirror Driver settings to be used when connecting to this remote machine. Provided the Mirror Driver has already been installed on the remote machine. See also Mirror Driver Options
Authentication Options The Authentication Options allows you to establish a default set of credentials (UserID & Password) as well as a default Authentication Type to use whenever a new Host Entry is created. See also Authentication Options |
